Question: What is a reasonable cost of spart plug replacement?

I just received an estimate of $148.00 for replacing four spark plugs on my 2005 Toyota Camry.
Labor is $56 (0.50hrs) and parts (spark plugs) $92. OMG that's $23 per plug. google research shows the best spark plugs are approx $6 each. I am a single woman, live in an apartment and unable to do this myself. Are these plugs made of gold or is there something I'm missing?

It is easiest service could be done. Only oil change is comparable in terms of prices of labor costs. If you had a 6 cylinder model of Camry then it's a different story since 3 three of 6-pack of spark plugs are difficult to reach.
But yours is 4 cylinder model.
Just buy 4 NGK, Autolite, Bosch or Champion plugs and go to mechanic's shop to change them. These leading plugs are definitely less costly than 23$ per one plug which is ridicolous price.
You could also buy polish plugs of company "Iskra" which are best in the world and cheapest at the same time - sorry, now I am joking since I live in Poland and I make "hidden" promotion of my country's automotive manufacturer - but in fact I use these polish plugs.

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
