Question: gas mileage down 25%, dealer claims ethonal causes

My prius was getting about 45 miles to the gallon and lately it is down to 32 to 35. The dealer claims it is simple the additional of ethanol to the gas supply in the winter. Any ideas? Comments?

Same happen gas miles drop in the winter, and in the last month and half it has come back. so it maybe in the gas. I always use EXXon. now we are back to 48 to 49 miles per gallon.

Same difference for me, between summer and winter. I've always used Arco "chap gas" and have gotten 45-48 mpg in the past. Will check and see if mileage increases in warmer weather.

I have the same problem with mileage. Put on new tires in the fall and blamed my
gas mileage drop on them but now I think its the fuel.. Anything that can be done
about it or should we just try to get all the tree huggers out of congress?
